Administrative professionals pretty much do everything possible to stay out of the limelight. We don’t really want the spotlight on us and the thought of giving a public speech??? Horrors!!! But it doesn’t to be that way. Sometimes, we just have to suck it up, buttercup, and let our fabulousness shine for all to see. We don’t always have a choice in giving presentations, so why not make your next presentation your best speech ever? This half day seminar will focus on the public speaking skills that every administrative professional needs to master.
Organizing Your Speech – Putting together a speech doesn’t have to be an exercise in futility and frustration. Learn the simple steps involved in organizing your speech, identifying timing, and ensuring that your presentation is as memorable as it can be.
Storytelling in a Business Environment – There are moments when it is critical that you convey your story to others, such as job interviews, connecting with a new boss or getting your co-workers to deepen their relationships with you. But how do you know which stories to share, how best to tell your message, and when not to share? Discover the key elements in putting forth your best image through storytelling in the workplace.
Overcoming Anxiety – Do you absolutely panic at the idea of giving a presentation? Are you certain you’ll pass out or throw up or completely forget what you were going to say? You CAN take control of those butterflies in your stomach and train them to fly in formation. I’ll share some tips for reducing anxiety and ensuring that your presentation is successful.
Attendees will be provided access to the live webinar as well as the link to the recording for at least 30 days afterwards. All attendees will receive a handout with step by step instructions detailing what was covered during the webinar. In addition, a letter will be provided that is suitable for submitting for 3 Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) recertification points.

She has been a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) since 1997 and was the 2012-2013 President of the Illinois Division of IAAP. She has more than two decades of experience as an administrative professional and efficiency consultant.
